Dell is introducing a new Pocket PC model, the Axim x51v. It comes with more memory and the new Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system. The reviews I read indicate this is a nice update to the x51 Pocket PC.
With a VGA resolution (640x480 pixels) and 256MB of flash memory for the new Persistent Storage, it sure sounds like a cool handeld device if you are in the market for a PDA. Add to this an Intel PXA270 at 624 mhz and both SD and CF slots and you have an interesting device - but it doesn't sounds as though as this speed will give you an edge over other devices.
In my case I have decided that my mobile device must be able to access a network at any time, due to the type of work I perform (you can't imagine how many emails I receive every day!). So my personal option is always a Pocket PC Phone Edition, and the HTC Universal or the HTC Apache are on the line.
